Black livery is back for the 2023 Mercedes F1 car

After its decade-long domination, Mercedes-Benz AMG saw their performance decline in the wake of new car design regulations for 2022. Red Bull Racing and Ferrari were able to overtake them for a first and second Constructors' standings position; meanwhile, George Russell finished off as best ranked driver with his fourth place championship win.

Mercedes has unveiled their redesigned 2022 racing car, packed with performance-driven innovations like a revised bodywork and the return to its iconic black livery. While it may first appear as solid color paintwork, close inspection reveals much of the design is actually made up of exposed carbon fiber to reduce overall weight.

Lewis Hamilton and George Russell are embracing a second season as teammates on the W14, with Mick Schumacher at their side as third driver.

Excited to see if Mercedes will take back the lead this upcoming season.  Who do you think will pull out ahead?
